Just to let the poolies know I'm going away today and will be unable to update the pool till Friday. Keep the trash talk coming in. My two favourite right know are:The bad news: "today your horse dissapointed hundreds of gamblers
The good news: tomorrow your horse will bring joy to hundreds of school children" by AJ and "You suck at horse stuff" by Mike Ross. I'm excited already about next weeks sport. I've moved all the current trash talk to: Sports Trash Talk Feel free to add more here or there.

Equestrian trash talk

This week we are trash talking equestrian (more specifically the jumping part). For those of you that don't know eqestrian involves horsies. Here are a few to get you started.

1. 15 hands I only see 4 hooves.
2. You're supposed to jump the fence not tackle it.
3. I've seen better jumping at a Three Season Ant Concert.
4. Nice mane shame about the face.
5. That ride was so lame they should shoot the rider.

Add as many as you like. They don't have to be good as evidenced above.

This is what you are playing for. (Of course you are also playing for bragging rights and pride) If you want to buy one of these t shirts they are only $10.00. I need 25 orders to order them and currently have 14.

It's now too late to give me your picks for this year's pool. I'll list the point leaders each night on this site. The site that some of you used online to enter your picks is a pay site and since I am cheap I'm not going to use it. I've copied all your picks off the site and will update each night on this page. The winner of this pool will get a free "I Lost You at Hello" T shirt. If you already told me you wanted one you will get yours for free. If you want to order one please let me know soon. Cost is only $10.00.

Here is the link to our new feature from this site: Sports Trash Talk We will be periodically adding a new sport to make fun of. (Don't get me wrong I think curling is great but trash talking it is more fun) Feel free to visit the site and add more comments. I'll also put a permanent link to this site over on the left.

Games are about to start so come back tonight to see who is winning.

Curling Trash Talk Contest

This was inspired by a late night Fundy run (not even close to being as good as a Sheetz run) We were talking about curling and the lack of trash talk and so we started coming up with our own trash talk. I can't remember them all but here is a sample:
1. Hurry Hard more like not hurrying at all.
2. I've seen better sweeping at a cattle barn.
3. I've seen better inturns during the Clinton administration.

Please feel free to add to this list.

Also March Madness begins this Thursday and we're doing our annual pool here if you want to be included either email your picks to me or call me and I'll write them down. I'll be checking around for easier ways to do it.

I'm still waiting for pictures which I'll post at a later date but I thought I'd share an observation that I made about the Australian Wesleyan Church. It seems all this time we've been serving the same God, reading the same Bible, and needing the same Spirit of God to lead, empower, comfort, and heal us. I know that isn't really very earthshattering but as I talked with different pastors and observed different churches it amazed me how God is leading His people in the same way all over this world. The two largest and fastest growing Wesleyan churches in Australia are both putting a high emphasis on worship and Praise and building a sense of community. We attended Sunday services in both these locations and I was blown away at how eager people seemed to be to connect with God. Their hunger was so evident. We were treated so well by the people that I had a strong desire to just stay and attend these churches. I wish all of those things could be said of every church but I've observed people tend to be more concerned with their own preferrences or feeling good themselves then they are about outreach and ministry. The reality we all have to get a grip on is God should be the only one we are trying to please. Everyone elses opinions "mean about as much to me as a bowl of festering dog snot"

Now on to hockey. No season and I really don't care. I heard rumours that another party wanted to buy the whole league and axe all the Canadian teams. This would have been the death of the Habs once and for all. Bring me that petition and I will sign.

NCAA Basketball - Go UCONN!!!!

If you get a chance to please pray for me. I've been under attack by the enemy quite a bit over the last month. God has been doing amazing things at our church but gossip and bitterness has been rearing its ugly head and has been trying to destroy what God has been doing. That's all I'll say in this venue. Thanks for your prayers.

Well I'm back and had an amazing time while I was in Aussie Land. Biggest highlight was snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. Worst moment was severe sunburn on my back for staying in the water snorkelling for 3 hours at the great barrier reef. I'll say a lot more later but would like to share with you today my favourite quote of the entire trip. It was given by Al my tour guide on the big red bus in London. Here is what he said: "I used to think my mother was a nun but then I just realized she was Irish with a nun accent" Classic.
