Laura Blog

I have a sad announcement to make. I think there is something drastically wrong with Laura Mitchell (aka my nemesis) We had a good time while she was visiting. In fact I felt like especially Spiritually we had made some great connections. When Laura left I confessed I had planned on doing some things to her since she was my nemesis but because of the new closeness we'd found I didn't feel right ruining all the things we had accomplished. She smiled and thanked me and left. Soon after she left I discovered she had stolen some very personal items from me including a gift that had been given to me from my mother. A gift I've used many times in my personal worship times with God. (although apparently not any more) I can handle that but when she got back there was a post That appeared on her blog about me. I took a picture of it. If you can't read everything I copied it down and you can read it below:

My Name is Laura and I Hate Kirk Perry

Kirk is a big loser. He actually trusted me this past weekend and I shafted him good. I was able to prove to him that love is something that can be trampled all over without regard to the person involved. He showed me nothing but kindness and I was able to throw his hospitality in his face. Girls rule!! Oh and I just want all of you to know that even though I was extremely mean to Kirk I still do admire his massive muscular legs. He could definitely beat me in any race. Well I'm going to be finally home in the great USA. I like the United States so much more than Canada. Well talk to all of you again real soon. Love you all. Toodles.

I was very surprised but I think I made her feel bad because I posted this comment: Ban the Habs and their fans! said...
Wow Laura it was bad enough you broke my trust but you didn't have to gloat about it.

12:42 AM

Soon after she deleted it from her blog. I guess I'm just lost for words. Those of you close to Laura let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

You may think I am finally posting again because I want to brag about Carolina destroying the habs the other night. I may be posting to talk about the Habs new strategy of not practicing between games (snicker snicker). I could be posting to brag that the University of Connecticut Huskies are the number 1 team in the nation and flukey duke is not. I could mention the 81 points Kobe Bryant scored against a stellar Raptors defense once again solidifying my prediction that when his career is over the top 3 Basketball players of all time will be #1 Kobe Bryant, #2 Wilt Chamberlain, and #3 Magic johnson. I could bring up the election and how everywhere my family lives went Conservative including my brother in Newfoundland, My cousin in Ottawa, his parents in Shawville, my parents in Norton, another cousin in Manitoba, and my riding on Grand Manan. (for all his talk Maves's riding went Liberal) I could do these things but I won't. Instead I will say Knock Knock.... (I'm waiting for your response) ..... Norma Lee. (Norma Lee Who?) Normalee I don't go around knocking on doors, but do you want to buy a set of encyclopedias?

Top 9 Charlies and Random facts which Could be True about them

#9 Charlie Peacock - He's some jazz guy that does music. He may or may not own a pony
#8 Charlie Kaufman - I know he writes for movies and TV. I might like his work if I knew what it was. He enjoys drinking liquid beverages.
#7 Charlie Chan - Big movie star a long time ago. Very religious guy cause I think he took a vow of silence or something. Tends to be only black or white just like Michael Jackson.
#6 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - A story about a kid with a sweet tooth that fools an eccentric billionaire into giving him his factories and slaves. I believe Charlie goes on to form the Martha Stewart corporation and sells his slaves to Kathy Lee Gifford.
#5 Charlie Sheen - This is one "Sassy" actor. "Sproikens Zeee Sassy" He has starred in great cinematic masterpieces such as Men at Work and Hot Shots Part Deux and currently has a TV show about him another guy and a midget. I forget what it is called. Charlie likes ice cream I think.
#4 Charlie Rose - This guy ran a PBS talk show. They talked about a lot of subjects including people, places, and other stuff. Very informative or so I've heard.
#3 Charlie Brown - His brother Steve used to be my youth pastor and now attends my church. He lives in Seal Cove and fishes for a living.
#2 Charlie from Charlie's Angels - This great looking man was an intricate part of solving every crime the other three angels faced. Let's face it they were girls and needed a real man to back them up. His ability to speak out of a box still amazes me.
#1 Charlie Odenthal - I really don't know who this guy is but I think he's into math. Here is his website if you want to check him out: http://www.math.utoledo.edu/~codentha/ Who knows someday this guy might be more famous than Will Perdu.

Well that concludes this top 9 list. I trust you will find it very informative and if not it is probably because you actually read it.

I woke up this morning to snow (not "Informer you no say daddy me Snow me I'll go blame
A licky boom boom down") I mean the real fluffy stuff. (ok I realize that could still be referring to both.) This will be the first day that we cannot see the ground. This is a good thing as I like snow. Not only do we get snow but Heidi's back with us for a couple of weeks. This is her last stop before she moves down to Alabama to help in the hurricane relief work. I don't have much else to report but just so you know I haven't lost the focus for this blog here is my never before uttered sentence for the day. "Carolina Hurricanes are the number one team today in the NHL and the Habs have lost 18 of their last 26 games." That may be the most beautiful thing I have ever said.

Tim rigged up a zip line in my front yard yesterday between two of the large birch trees that are growing there. You would think this would be an amazing rush but alas I think because we were using climbing rope which has a lot of give to it we could not get it tight enough. Tim was able to travel probably 25 feet before hitting the ground and I probably went 12 feet. WHAT A RUSH!!!! We may or may not have invented another game in the process called axe throw. It really was more fun throwing things up to Tim in the tree than actually riding the zip line. Kudos to Tim for the idea and atempting and I'm looking forward to the day we try zip lining off the Southern Head cliffs. (I'm just putting this last sentance in to see how many Grand Mananers are reading this)

A new year's resolution I made this year was to say a sentance every day that I've never said before in my life. (bonus points if I'm the first one on the planet to say it) My favourites so far are: "Am I your crock pots keeper?" and "That's ok Rajah a kiss is like a high five on the lips." (I may or may not have stolen half of that from Desperate Housewives) Today's sentance "I'm spinning, spinning, spinning, like a stationary bike with no place to go."

In the near future I will be making a major addition to this site but in the mean time I decided to add a few more links of some of the blogs that I frequent. Mainly this just makes it more convenient for me. Link # 1 is Jon Billings. I love this guy and he has amazing taste in creativity, humour, and sensualness. At least that is why I assume he named my blog, Blog of the Year" for 2005. Jon actively updates his blog and is very entertaining and informative. Link # 2 is for "the Jew" aka Rob Meeks. Rob has actually visited me on Grand Manan before unlike some of the more useless friends I have. Rob also is secretly (at least he was until now) a part of my team to bring down my nemesis. His recent cannibalism picture brought tears to my eyes. Link #3 is for Matthew Rose. I don't really know Matt but I have been in hockey, baseball, football, and basketball pools with him over the last 5 or 6 years. Plus Matt has the best link to BBC blogs that I've found anywhere. If you're looking to connect with someone and you want to know if they blog check his site first. Link # 4 is for a website of an artist that attends my church. His name is Jeff Bergen and he and his family just moved here recently from Manitoba. I believe God reveals Himself to us through the beauty of the world around us and Jeff has a God given talent for capturing pictures of that beauty. I love art and find myself staring at some of these pictures just being amazed at God and who He is. Crap I'm becoming my nemesis (getting serious in my posting) UHHHHHHHHHHHHH poop.

Here are a few pictures from the girls night. We had fruit that we dipped in chocolate (including strawberries), and a vegtable tray, and my special recipe for punch. After that we played spin the bottle. (no not that way you bunch of perverts) When the bottle stopped you had to pick something out of the Bears stocking and do what it said. This involved some confessions, a game of "No Bull" for Holly and of course a pillow fight. After that we did our facials. They were a special seaweed based facial and wow did it make my face feel great. We watched a girls choice video after. I had brought a chick flick but much to my delight the girls wanted to watch "The Patriot" We had popcorn and more punch. Just before everyone left we danced to "I'll Be the One" by the Backstreet Boys. This has to have been my favourite girls night that I have ever been to. Thanks to Holly, Stephanie, Nicole, and Scott for making this day possible.
