Swine Flu
Bob Croft sent this to me as a way to avoid getting the swine flu. If you want to be safer then don't do this:
Just for your interest sake before everyone panics. Did you know that 30000 people died just in the United States last year from the regular flu. Now I know the U.S. Health care system is to health care as a U.S. bailout is to the economy but putting that into perspective this Swine Flu thing may not be that bad. If your family had someone die from it then of course it is bad for you but in the larger picture so far it is pretty tame. Sars killed just over 700 people. The last strain of the bird flu killed just over 300. About 170 were killed by Mad Cow disease.
THE MEDIA IS TRYING TO SCARE YOU!!!!!!!
If you really want to be safe avoid these:
Stats are deaths per year in the U.S.
1. Heart disease 2, 397, 615
2. Cancer 652, 486
3. Stroke 150, 074
4. Respiratory Disease 121, 987 (smokers)
5. Accidents 112, 012
6. Diabetes 73, 138
7. Alzheimer's 65, 965
8. Pneumonia 59, 664
9. Kidney Disease 42, 480
10. Septicemia 33, 373
