Life on the rock. A Habhater's tale. <$BlogRSDUrl$>

A lot has happened over the past week. Darren got home from Spain and got to experience the trick we had played on him. When he walked into his room he found his bed and many other things in his room screwed into the wall. His bed is up by the ceiling and looks very natural there. I made a movie about the whole experience which I am debating as to whether I should put on my site. The only thing holding me back is the length of it. (around 7 minutes) Quite honestly though it is one of the funniest things I've made. Dan Boyd really shows us the comedic genius that enabled him to claw his way in to our clique.

I also went to my first prom on Saturday. It was as a chaperone but the chaperones danced more than at least half of the people there. I was introduced to a song that reminded me why I hate country music so much. It was called "Save a horse, ride a cowboy" Not only was the song retched but I got the impression there might be some sexual overtones to it. The highlight for me was ice ice baby.

3 more things. I've decided to run in a half marathon on July 23 (21Km) Since the farthest I have been running is 5km and am currently suffering from an achilles injury (DDR) I might need your prayers. I will be away from posting for a couple of weeks as I'm leaving for creation festival on Monday and coming straight back to Beulah camp. No doubt I'll see most of you there. Lastly I will be ordering the "I Lost you at Hello!" T shirts in a couple of weeks. This is youtr last chance to order one. Just send me your size. Cost is only $10.00. That's it. C y'all soon.

Dance Dance

The following video is rated pg 13 for pretty good the first thirteen times you watch it. This video contains the infamous "princess clip" May I just say that Darren's antics have brought me much joy. There is a DDR (dance dance revolution) demonstration part way through for those of you who have been asking. Here's the link or as always you can click under the one under Kirk's Movies on the left. The public has spoken and the public will get what they want. I have some video footage that I was already working in to a dance montage. It shouldn't be a problem to add some DDR footage to the end. Here's my problem. I'm going away in 4 hours on the first boat and won't be back until Saturday night late. I'll try to have something done by next Wednesday. I want to use Monday and Tuesday to get a bit more footage. It will be worth the wait. I have a clip of Darren that will make you want to watch it over and over and over again.

Had a really good weekend. I went to the Bill Hybell's seminar in Moncton and learned a lot of really practical things for our ministry at Central. If you want to know what I learned you should have gone to the seminars you lazy bums. We came back early to be at our Saturday Evening Service and that was amazing as well. We added a little U2 and some Black Eyed Peas but what was really cool was just the freedom of worship throughout the night. Sunday was amazing as well I officially announced I was accepting my extended Call extention (four more years) and we had an incredible altar time at the end of the service. Sunday night I didn't get to preach as we spent the whole service praising and talking about the things we had noticed that God was doing. On top of all that I finally got a second DDR pad that works and am now working on the double pad routines. God is good.
