Not alot to report this week. Been swimming in the ocean twice last week. Once as a lark ( I didn't know larks could be so cold) and once for a baptism. I also am going to get to go to May Rally this year. I'm looking forward to displaying my DDR skills (dance dance revolution) to the Atlantic District. My dream is take on H.C. Because of a scheduling conflict I'm not going to get to Bethany graduation until they are handing out the diplomas (pity)

Chess Trash Talk

This weeks trash talk idea comes from Darren C. I wanted to do polar dipping trash talk but we were afraid of a week of nothing but "shrinkage" jokes. So it is chess. For those of you not familiar with the game it is kind of like advanced checkers. Here are a few to start:

1. Nice castle I'm sure Prince Charles would approve.
2. I've seen better Queens at a Harvey Firestein lookalike convention.
3. Ne really please someone search for Bobby Fischer. This guy stinks.
4. Smooth move exlax now you're in some Deep Blue.

I must say all four of those are clever in their own right if you can get the references. Very good Kirk. Why thank-you Kirk.

Well I guess the big news from this week is that I'm going to a little concert on September 14th in Toronto. The bands name that I will be perusing is U2 and the location of my seats is the floor. That' right floor seats for U2. Rumour is the Killers are opening for them but I haven't been able to confirm that yet. I'm old enough to remember Joshua Tree's release and have been a fan ever since. Dan and Scott from our band are going with me as well as Dan's wife Kate. We're the same four that road tripped to Dashboard Confessional last year. I hope U2 can compete with D.C.. Ok gtg cu l8ter

Fishing Trash Talk

This weeks trash talk should be a lot simpler than the past couple of weeks. Who among us cannot relate to fishing? Here we go.
1. I've seen better casts in India.
2. Oh you caught that. I thought it was your bait.
3. The only thing you're good at catching is gonnerehea. (or a cold)

I need your help. I woke up this morning with longing feelings for hockey again. I don't want to cave. Remind me why the NHL is evil and needs to be boycotted in favour of darts and bowling. On a lighter note I'm playing on a basketball team that's playing in a men's provincial tournament this weekend. Those of you who have seen me play basketball before may be laughing right now but honestly I've gotten better. One on one I could probably beat my brother Graham by 7 now in a game to 10. (as opposed to by 5 before) Actually I'm just hoping not to embarrass myself.

Rappelling Trash Talk

Last weeks responses were very entertaining indeed. I've updated the Sports Trash Talk site so you can easily view past responses and add some new ones. This week's trash talk should be easier for us Grand Mananers as the sport is catching on here rather quickly. For those of you who don't know what rappelling is it's basically mountain climbing in reverse. Here are a few to get you going:
1. You're rappelling is repelling. (wow that one was bad)
2. Nice shunt!!
3. I've seen better descending by elephants in Disney Movies

Oh yeah and we purchased Dance, dance, revolution over the weekend. I see many hours of feet flailing in our future. If you've never done it you shpould look into it.

Ballroom Dancing Trash Talk

This weeks trash talk should be a lot easier. There are lots of different directions to go. I've updated the sports trash talk site on the left. If you are so inspired you can keep adding trash talk on the site. I'll keep checking and adding as needed. Here are a few to get you going:

1. Fox Trot!!! More like a fox with the trots.
2. I've seen better movements in my toilet bowl.
3. Call the paramedics thry're having a seizure.
4. I've seen better dancing on stage during the 80's (Danzing was an 80's big hair metal band)

Kirk's new song

I've written a new song. I was hoping to launch this with a video but my camera is in the shop for at least a month making that quite difficult to do. I wrote this song mostly ad lib. Tim Branscombe wrote the music again mostly on the spot and the background "sniff track" and harmonies is me playing with garage band. I love macs. What I'm trying to say is not a lot of thought went into this song which seems to be when I'm at my best. When I try to think my creativity leaves me. Here is the link: I Love Your Smell You can download the song from this site.

The spelling bee trash talk has been difficult. I'll try to come up with something easier for next week. Cudos (sp?) to AJ for the most creative responses.

March Madness continues this Saturday. Go Michigan State.
