Anchorman Contest
Which of these anchors is your favourite? Vote once and I'll post the results later.
Great Odin's raven it is about time we settled who the greatest anchorman is of all time. By the Beard of Zeus I believe that we are the group to do it. I mean Knights of Columbus man we owe it to the world to settle this once and for all. I have compiled a single quote from several world famous news anchors and your job is to vote which one is the best.
1. Dan Rather CBS- "My cousin just died. He was only 19. He got stung by a bee - the natural enemy of a tightrope walker"
2. Peter Jennings ABC - "I've always been very zealous about not invading other people's private spaces."
3. Barbara Walters The View -, "The world may be full of fourth rate writers but it's also full of fourth rate readers. "
4. Ron Burgundy Action News San Diego- "The Germans discovered it in 1904, and they called it "San Diego", which in German means "whale's vagina"
5. Max Keeping CJOH- "A leader should lead by example. He or she should have strong beliefs and moral values. He or she should be willing to fight for what he or she believes in. He or she should know when to admit that he or she is wrong."
6. Tom Brokaw NBC- "I'm honored that you invited me, especially when for $10,000 and a new convertible you could have had the top running-back prospect at SMU."
7. Walter Cronkite CBS- "The perils of duck hunting are great - especially for the duck"
8. Jon Stewart The Daily Show - "I've been to Canada, and I've always gotten the impression that I could take the country over in about two days."
9. Steve Murphy ATV News- " Premier, I want to take you up on something you said and that is of course, you were elected on a platform that promised fiscal responsibility, but in the same platform, to the people of Nova Scotia, you promised, and I quote here, "to work with the nursing profession to make sure the work environment offers a rewarding and positive experience, where nurses know they can properly care for their patients, where they know they are valued." So how does out-lawing their right to strike, and imposing a settlement on them make for a rewarding and positive experience for the nurses?"
10. Wolf Blitzer CNN- But Hitler and Stalin, I think you could argue Saddam Hussein, were mass murderers. Is President Clinton a mass murderer?
