In an almost Perfect world
Yet another thing I hate about the NHL. The guarenteed point. I was rejoicing last night when I saw Jason Spezza totally desimate the Habs D and score the game winning goal in over time and for a moment I was ver y happy. Then I realized the Habs were going to get a point any ways and it took all the wind out of my sails (that's a lot of wind) my cousin Paul sent me this picture to cheer me up. It is confirmed that this is for sure Scottie Leighton's class picture. The picture below may actually be Stefan Hettrick and not either Scott. Who knew?

Scott or Scottie
i was emailed this picture by james Finlay and he swears that this is a picture of Scottie Leighton (hab lover) when he was younger. Upon further investigation by myself I can't help but think this looks exactly like Scott Ingalls (mac and U2 Hater). So for those of you out there who know both of these guys tell me what you think. Scott Ingalls is the bass player of the band formally known as 7 Cent Tip" you may remember him from Zion hill a couple of years ago.

The Big Revealing is Here
I hope you're not disapointed. If you are it is because you don't appreciate the gift that i am giving to the entire world. Over the last year Tim, Darren, and myself have invented several new games (with a few others help at times) that are easy to play almost anywhere. This is the almost complete list of games. Each one has a set of rules that make them oodles of fun. So without any further ado here is the list:
1. Knife Throw.
2. Guess where I'm Looking.
3. Guess what I just ate.
4. "Colon Blow" The Raisin Bran Eat Game.
5. Steamroller.
6. Quick draw.
7. Who's dumber?
8. Guess What I'm Saying.
9. Guess What Hug I've Given You.
10. Will this Hot thing Scald Me?
11. How Drunk Do I Look?
12. Can I read this List Without Smiling?
13. Crushed Nuts: Who Knew?
14. Darren's Island lasses.
15. The Useless People Games
16. Spy vs. Spy
17. How Many Fingers am I Touching You With?
18. What Hair is this?
19. Find the Junk.
20. Find the Junk Aquatic Edition.
21. What Can I Throw at Your Car at a Red Light?
22. What Can I Throw at Your Car When It's Moving?
23. Roman Candle Catch
24. Tara's Trivia Triad
25. What's Different?
26. May or May Not Game
27. Find the Cell Phone.
28. Comparrison Game
29. Rolling Golf Ball Car Game.
30. (Tim won't let me list this one since he says it's just me being bitter)
31. Which Door Will Open?
32. Cell Phone Spin and Stare.
33. Catch the Eavesdropper.
34. "Time" to put Down the Window
35. Ball Church Game
36. Chair Catch
I have my favourites. I particularily love will this hot thing scald me and what can I throw at your car at a red light. (so far objects have included sour milk, sloppy Joe filling, peanut butter sandwich, teriyaki sauce and ovaltine) I do think catch the eavesdropper has the potential of being the most entertaining.

I get asked this question all the time. What's wrong with the Habs this year? How is it possible that they have actually won games? I've searched my heart to answer this question. I knew before the season started with the rule changes, the year off, and the attempt by the nhl to turn every game into a power play followed by a skills competition that this NHL season would suck. In the new pansey NHL the Habs are winning games. Should this surprise us? YES!!!!! Even with paid off refs, opponents in wheel chairs and a 20 goal head start it should always surprise us if the Habs happen to win games. I asked my cousin Paul what he thought and he said "I can't prove it, but I'm sure the Liberal government is to blame. They love taking life's pleasures away from me." This is an idea that should be researched. I have tried waking myself up several times from this nightmare of an undefeated Hab team but I can't wake up. I am boycotting watching any more nhl games until the Habs lose. I'm predicting watching hockey again after tonight when the Senators thump them I'll say 8-0. Happy belated Thanksgiving. May this sign of the appocalypse end soon.

Hockey season started last night and I had my first oportunity to watch a shoot out at the end of the Sens, Leafs game. This has to be one of the stupidest things that the NHL has ever done. I can just hear them talking about this "Let's decide ties by focusing on one skill making the entire game just played utterly meaningless" Their justification well it will entertain the fans. The NHL thinks that their fans are too stupid to realize that their game is being turned into a cheesy insult to sports. My question is why focus on that skill? Why not settle games by having the biggest hitters on each team skate towards each other and try to knock each other over? or let's settle games by a hotdog eating contest at center ice or set up one of those nets with the board covering it except for a small slot in the middle and the first team to hit the hole from center ice wins the game and a car. In case you haven't figured it out I don't support the shoot out. If my arguments aren't enough to sway you hear this. Scottie Leighton (hab lover) thinks it's all a great idea. I rest my case.

Lots of success and lots of Failure
I did make it back safe and sound. I had a great time on the Spiritual side of things. There's just something incredible about getting out into the beauty of God's creation. I lay just above dark harbour the first night under the stars and read my bible and talked to God. The next morning I got up at the crack of dawn hiked down into dark harbour and caught the red trail again and then about halfway between there and Money Cove I lost the trail. I got lost on Grand Manan!!!! I walked till I found a road and looked all over for the trail again but couldn't find it. So I punished myself by walking straight home from there. (About 14 km) without a stop or rest. I was so mad at failing. I will be trying this again though. All toll the trip was around 43 km (a full 11 km longer then Tim's trip) I was a little sore when I got back but was able to recover enough to play in the Bethany Softball tournament on the weekend. We had fans. Way more fans then all other teams other than BBC. They held up a sign that said "Kirk Nice Legs" (because my legs are so muscular and well defined) I got to meet some Jen girl who claimed that AJ had taught her everything she knew. (she was smarter than that) We finished the night making fun of all he Tatton's pets at their house whle eating pizza. I'm going to stop rambling no....
